Dr Emilija Jensen graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and concurrent Bachelor of Dental Science awarded with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide in 2012. As a new graduate, she undertook the Voluntary Dental Graduate Year Program in the North West of Tasmania with a focus in oral surgery. Emilija continued to work in Tasmania in both private practice and local public hospitals.
Emilija returned to Adelaide in 2016, working in private practice and tutoring undergraduate students at the University of Adelaide. Emilija maintained an interest in dentoalveolar surgery and commenced at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide in 2017. She then completed a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Adelaide in 2020 and was grateful to have completed one year of training at the University of Toronto, Canada. Emilija continues to work at the Women's and Children's Hospital and has commenced a PhD through the University of Adelaide focusing on research into children with cleft lip and cleft palate in South Australia.
