On behalf of your Australian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (AAPD), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Reconnext 2026, taking place from 20–22 August at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Adelaide, South Australia.

As paediatric dentistry continues to evolve, so too does the complexity of the children and families entrusted to our care. Guided by the theme Caring for the Complex Paediatric Patient, this conference will explore the clinical, medical and behavioural dimensions that define contemporary specialist practice.

From managing medically complex children to advances in prevention, craniofacial care and behavioural techniques, our scientific program reflects the breadth and depth of contemporary paediatric dentistry. Together, we will explore how evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centred care converge to optimise outcomes for children with complex needs.
