A belated welcome to 2024. In reflection on 2023, I hope your work was fulfilling and challenging and you’re excited to take on the year ahead.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to another edition of our Newsletter, we have a bumper edition to share with you with details on Reconnext 2024 as well as stories and highlights from our community across Australia and New Zealand.
I am particularly excited to welcome a new cohort of nine postgraduate students across all four of the specialist training programs. I look forward to meeting you virtually at the next PG student webinar and then in person in Mooloolaba at the end of September.
Talking of Mooloolaba, we recently shared the details of Reconnext 2024, the official event of the Australiasian Academdy. Happening from the 26-28 September, the theme ‘Digital Health: the potential and the reality’ will see us dive into some juicy topics!
While I am a little biased, I think you will find the program offers us in pediatric dentistry an energising and insightful chance to examine the applications and challenges of this era.
I’m particularly excited about the speaker line-up with a mix of experienced and young speakers who will explain the technology and challenge us to be open minded about its potential.
We’ve chosen Mooloolaba specifically because of what this beautiful destination offers, perfect for a family holiday in a warmer climate as the southern states emerge from the cold winter.
